Thanks pidj

spotty glad his cord is finally off. Ethan's came off at 5 days but never smelled. It's almost completely healed now at 2 weeks.

Going to do hand and foot prints today in his baby book!

Jamie's super quiet at the minute. It was quite a shock to be woken at 1am by him screaming the house down for the first time! I went in to find both he and DP covered in vomit. It was coming out if his nose Sad Think he'd been a bit over zealous with the feeding as he'd not had much in the day, poor thing

stacey silly question but what sort of paint are you using? We were thinking about doing prints but scared of painting the baby!

Report
SpottyTeacakes · 23/12/2012 18:45

Thanks!

I think I'm losing my milk out of one of my boobs Blush it's always had a bit less but seems to be dropping more. An doing all I'm supposed to do but doesn't seem to help and don't know if there'll be anyone around to ask this week

I think the breastfeeding helplines will be open? I'm often sure my boobs are empty as they never feel full but ds seems ok (not today though, he's being a right grump!)

Honey, are you sure the supply is going down? I remember last time with DS that the engorgement drops and your boobs feel soft even though they are making plenty of nilk.

Honey, i leak loads Xmas Blush thankfully not had any wet patches yet! My right - which is still sensitive - gets engorged quicker than the left but he gets full from either and only occasionally wants a second side

There's def less in one. I'm going to try pumping it in the morning and see how much I get. Why is this so complicated?

WillYuleDoTheFandango · 23/12/2012 20:13

Honey I have less in my right boob. I've super pumped it today and managed to boost the output a little. Do you usually start with the other side maybe?

Hello, joining from the ante-natal thread. Sophie born on Thursday night, after a super-fast labour. All going well so far - but feeling quite overwhelmed today, keep having "Oh my God, how can I manage 2 children" moments. Suspect it may be day 4 blues coming on - just blubbed uncontrollably at The Snowman Blush

WillYuleDoTheFandango · 23/12/2012 20:41

Aw it'll happen Emily s/he can't stay in there forever! I feel like it's all whizzing by way too fast. Sad

Hi Leo congratulations. I'm well into baby blues just had a big sob to DP about how this is the happiest time of my life and nothing will ever be so special again. Bloody hormones!

Checking in
Congratulations leo welcome Sophie
Also have a v unhappy baby today. And a 'challenging' DD1. B haschanged from a content baby who sleeps 95% of the time to a crabby one who's hung off my boob/cried most the day.

Feel a lot better on hearing others boobs have deflated a bit as mine feel squishy today (maybe as not been given a chance to fill?!) had bad night last night with her so prob explains my sob today Hmm
Doesn't help DP is out 'wetting the baby's head' for the 2nd time this weekend. Angry

Welcome leo and congratulations. Crying at the Snowman is completely normal behaviour at any time !

I shouldn't read books about breastfeeding Confused it's made mr panic that our latch isn't right (it's not the best but works for us) and he's not getting enough milk (which is obv rubbish as we have 8+ wet and dirty nappies a day!). It doesn't help that my boobs are all squishy which is convincing me there's no milk in them Hmm why is this feeding stuff full of unknowns?!

Honey I'm just using the kids art paint, same as spotty it all comes off with baby wipes! Lol

Hi leo, I had a week of tears panicking how i'd cope with a newborn and toddler! Thankfully that has passed, things have settled and feeling really happy now, its just really daunting isn't it. DP, myself and the childn went out today and it was challenging, DS walks everywhere, i had DD in a sling....hiw will i manage the two on my own was all I could think.
