My dd1 will be two on 16 Feb - can't believe it! Time has indeed flown by and she has developed into a rather wilfull little girl! Looking forward to celebrating her birthday together with ds and dd2

Hiya Sallie

Was beginning to feel a wee bit lonely then lol.

Not long now... wilful. We have that in the Mars household too. Bit of a double dose, though DT2 is gentler about it than his sister.

The DTs are 2 today!

Wow!

We have lots of family coming over. That wasn't the plan but one sister invited herself, then I invited the others, then the cousins (our generation) invited themselves and suddenly we're going to have a huge family day.

Can't wait! The festivities kick off at 2pm.

DT1 keeps singing Happy Birthday and DT2 keeps laughing at us all

Have birthday to your DTs

Sounds like it was a wonderfull day

It was indeed. The DTs were a bit overwhelmed by the volume of pressies from all the rels, but they coped.

We drank a lot, ate a lot, sent the kids to bed and ate and drank some more.

Unlike last year there was no champagne for me to celebrate my surviving another year with twins lol

Hello all Feb 04 mums & Happy Birthday to all 2 (and nearly 2) year olds
My dd was 2 0n Feb 5th. Against my better judgement we (or should I say I since dh disappeared) had a birthday party for her and six of her 'friends' on the Saturday before her birthday and another 'party' for family the day after. I think I'm still recovering even though it was nearly three weeks ago but she had a great time both days and got so many new toys that we're having to convert the garage into a room just to have somewhere to store them - oh, all right we were thinking about doing it anyway but seeing the clutter in the sitting room after her birthday pushed us into finally deciding we definitely needed to take action.
Nice to hear everyones stories & happy birthday to busyalexsmummy's ds for today

Hi all

Bertie was two on 16th Feb and we had a lovely party for him at a village hall! :) He is SO lovely, SO SO SO lovely! Can be very naughty - and then goes and sits himself on the naughty step saying " me been naughty, on naughty step" TOTALLY defeats the object!!!!!!

Anyhoo, a real little character - he loves music and can name bands by the first bars on the radio - amazing! :)

Love Sarah

Good grief BabyHare, your wee Bertie sounds dead clever!!! Wink

My ds2 favourite words are "no" and "cake" and he can just about put 2 words together, but hey he's amazing with a fooball!! Grin

tabitha - know what you mean about all the toys, itgets silly eh?

Busyalexsmummy - hear you're famous Wink

Well we bought ds2 a car bed to try and get him to sleep through the night. The first night was great, slept through. WOOO HOOO, but didn't last Sad

However he is getting better, crys about twice a night. Just leave him to it, he whines for about 10mins and falls asleep again.

Anyone else with problem sleepers?

The DTs are getting better. DT1 now sleeps through but only in a big bed, so that's it. No more cot for her.

DT2 still wakes about 4am and climbs in with me. Ah well..... soon. He's been ill a lot recently, whilst Little Miss Houdini seems to just pass her bugs to him.

Good to hear how the others are getting on. Smile

Marslady, do they not wake each other up? I'm thinking of putting dd in the bedroom with ds2.

Am I mad?

DD is lovely, although going through a hitting stage.

hello!!
having dd's joint birthday party with her cousin in may (the cousin will be two in august so may was a compromise). we'll be having it in a hall which has a pool and a playroom, and we're getting a balloon maker to keep the kids happy..

dd is just so lovely and fun and cheeky and naughty all at the same time. loves to count from one to ten over and over and over....she can't quite recite her ABCs yet but loves to read and scribble with crayons, though she'd rather eat the crayons up if i let her!!

she'd been biting and pinching her poor cousin all the time so finally thought i'd better put a stop to it. thot i was being clever by giving the victim cousin chocolate each time she pinched him but she ended up wailing for it too and i normally cave in. Blush
what was funny the other day, the cousin slightly pushed her inadvertantly, and she said "ooh mummy ** pushed me, chocolate mummy chocolate mummy!!!!"

dd is also forever begging me and dh to take her on a bus, on a train, on a lorry, on a helicopter, on a truck, on a tanker...on a cement mixer!!!

SIGGH

ooh and she loves to sing baa baa black sheep, twinkle little star, row your boat and the barney "I love you" song!!
what a talent
