Okay, am starting a new thread for busy Junies to keep up with the main exploits of the gasbag Junie gang. Here's my summary report for week ending 1st October:

GOOD

  • have had consultation with Welshie's sleep lady, ds sleeping well at night SO FAR
  • have put ds on to Omneo Comfort at tea's suggestion, ds is now eating us out of house and home

    BAD
  • sink has been leaking into downstairs neighbour's flat, potential insurance nightmare
  • ds still hugely grumpy about going down for his naps in the day, poor old other downstairs neighbours who can hear everything

    BRIDGET JONES:
  • number of eps of Sex and the City watched when up with ds at 530 in the morning: about 20
OP posts:

And lummox's summary:

OK, so the summary for w/e 1st October 2005 (hmm, maybe am starting to miss work a little).

THE DOWNS:

  • still not much sleep happening (although we got one four hour stretch last night - can hardly bear to type it as worried about jinx)
  • teeth are really upsetting ds. getting through masses of French bonjela equivalent

    THE UPS:

  • French bonjela-equivalent tastes delicious. dh and I fighting to give it to the baby.
  • ds's Raspberry blowing going from strength to strengh
  • Stove nearly put in (we have only had to sign three legally binding documents so far, but then it hasn't been fitted yet. French bureaucracy really is splendid, although you could freeze to death whilst waiting for the right forms).
  • ds's liver OK (as far as we know)

And now for the Bridget-Jones style bit:

No. of people to mention that the baby's ears might be cold this week - 4.

Looking forward to everyone else's contributions. Hope you all having a good weekend.

I like this new thread

good: DS is chirpy most days and getting off to sleep early and almost sleeping through.

bad: Early waking for college, general tiredness, DS's constipation and still being fat as a house with no sign of it budging.

Not read bridget jones so no after thoughts/ hope everyone is well

Fabulous idea!

Good: Spent some time at my mum and dad's last week and got lots of help with ds and dd.
Flying kites on the beach and realising that we live here now and can do it any time we want.
DS behaving much better particularly around dd.
DD still a little star and sleeping really well.
MIL telling me I'd lost weight (when last time she saw me she looked me up and down and said 'do you think you'll actually lose the weight this time?')
Shopping for little girl's clothes after 4 years of the total lack of choice for boys (but bad news for the credit card).

Bad
Hair falling out! but at least this time round I know it is just normal post-preg hair loss.
DS still hasn't started school and he REALLY needs to - he has had nobody to play with for weeks now and it's starting to show.
My sister going back to Spain - won't see her till Christmas now.
DH's job is turning out to be enormously stressful, this is a major bad so am trying hard to concentrate on the 'goods' eg kite flying.

Not bad but a bit
DD out of moses basket and into big cot in her own room.

Bridget Jones moment:
Days dd went without a poo last week: 4
No of poos in 1 hour when she finally did it: 4
Monstrous cheese fondues consumed:1

GOOD
Some lovely days with both DSs, where DS2 has been full of smiles and DS1 has been very well-behaved.
Watching DS1 kiss DS2 with no prompting from anyone.
Errrrrrrm.
Oh yes, one of my best friends having her second DS on Monday (yippee, I am so pleased for her, and also that I don't have a brand-new baby again!)

BAD
DS2 is suddenly back to waking 4 times a night (I knew I'd bloody curse it when I said last week it was only once a night )
My hair is also falling out in handfuls, clogging the shower, the sink and the hairbrush.
Strange and scary freak-out at 4am today, on my way back to putting DS2 back to bed after his third feed of the night, where I went all dizzy, couldn't remember where I was and nearly dropped DS2. I'm so tired......
DH always managing to be more tired than me (or so he says).

I'll stop before this turns into a not-so-concise rant from me.

BRIDGET MOMENTS:
Number of bars of G&B caramel chocolate consumed: 1 (but only because it was the last one in the shop).
