A new UKIP councillor has sparked outrage amid allegations he unleashed racist abuse online.

Newly elected county councillor Eric Kitson triggered a furore over a cartoon of a Muslim being spit-roasted on a fire fuelled by copies of the Koran ? which was posted on his Facebook profile.

It has also shown a string of anti-Jewish remarks including false claims that the Rothschild banking dynasty had controlled Nazi ­Germany?s leader Adolf Hitler.

In one vile attack, Mr Kitson, a councillor for Stourport, Worcs, following his election victory on May 2, said in a reference to Muslim women: ?Hang um all first then ask questions later.?

In another post, he calls for a referendum to set up an English parliament, Britain?s withdrawal from the European Union and the repatriation of ?six million migrants and refugees?.

The disgusting slurs will be a fresh embarrassment for UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage who has admitted that not all the party?s candidates for the local elections were properly vetted.

Mr Kitson even suggested that Mr Farage should consider uniting with Nick Griffin, leader of the far-right British National Party.

A Labour source said: ?There is no place in politics for these disgraceful, racist attacks. It is up to Nigel Farage to clean up his party and avoid the needless offence and hurt these kind of remarks cause.?

In January, top UKIP official Dr Julia Gasper quit after her ­extremist and offensive views were exposed by the Sunday Mirror.

Speaking at the time, Mr Farage condemned Dr Gasper?s ?unacceptable war? against homosexuals. Mr Kitson last night refused to discuss the Facebook postings, telling our reporter: ?I don?t want to talk to you. I?m watching the Cup Final.?

A UKIP spokesman said of the councillor yesterday: ?UKIP is investigating these accusations which, if true, would render Mr Kitson unsuitable to sit as a UKIP councillor and would lead to an immediate review of his party membership.?
