Dreams about Death

Hi,
Dont know if this is in the right section, but, my DHs grandmother had a dream about someone in a coffin, but didnt see the face. My FIL died soon after. Someone told her if she'd seen his face, she'd have died as thats how God takes you? I dont know why it bothers me, but, I get sensitive to these things...

Is that true? Or partly true?

sounds like a load of old tosh to me. I mean who would know that, its like saying that when you die in your dream you die for real ..... who knows that.

Dont worry about it, there is a masterplan but you aint never gonna know what it is

I've often read that to dream of death is significant of an end of something, not necessarily death, seems logical to me.

Sorry, but to suggest that God 'takes' anyone because of a dream is superstitious nonsense. Dreaming of death is very common. Sometimes it is our real fears that come out, other times it marks a period of transition in our lives. Given how common these dreams are, it often happens that someone dreams of death and dying and then someone known to them dies soon after. It sounds to me like someone has been taking advantage of your dh's gran by giving her a scare.

It's not true. Not even remotely true.

Years ago, when DH and I pulled up in the car outside our house there were crows on the roof. He said something along the lines of, "crows on the roof of a house mean that an occupant of the house will soon die". I thought no more of it until a matter of weeks later when he died.
I'm fairly sure when he said it he was making it up to scare me. He did that kind of thing.
Anyway, I hate to see crows on roofs now.
