Karma

Can anyone tell me what is meant by Karma. I know the meaning of the word but what I guess I want to know is if someone does something bad to another person does karma 'see' it and cause something equally bad occur to that person? At the moment it just appears to me that nasty, cut throat people get away scot free and those of us that live by high moral standards just get used over and over again.

my understanding is sketchy - this might be a good place to start...

Thanks Mrs B that was very helpful. I am striving everyday to stop burning with anger about what he has done to me. I really need to change my focus and look away from the problem but it's hard.

not sure how relevant it is to karma, but I found that focusing on things I can change helped me move away from brooding/fuming about things I can't
so you can't change what he did to you, and you can't guarantee he'll get his comeuppance (though I like to think one day he will), but what you can do is control how you deal with it and how you act - make a conscious effort to move on and to behave in a calm way that'll leave you with no regrets.

That's a good philosophy. I never really thought of it like that before but I can't change the past and I can't change him. I can change my approach and that's what I will do.
