Yes it's really early..... but I thought I'd let anyone interested in a spiritual christmas (but with kids who don't want to get left out of chocolate advent calendars) that Marks and Spencer is selling a nativity-themed chocolate advent calendar for about £2.

If anyone else spots any for sale anywhere else would they mind sharing so I can let my Christian friends know?

Phoenix cards have a couple too.

I have one I reuse each year that is a nativity scene- I got it from Letterbox but it's about five years old now.

Divine always do a religious chocolate Advent Calendar and this year I believe the "Real..." company is doing a Real Advent Calendar with Fairtraid chocolate inside, which will be sold at Tescos as well as online -

Not quite the normal type of thing. But I have this Advent Stable from Lakeland. You can just about shoehorn a Quality Street type chocolate into each little box with the figure.

I've had it for a few years and am quite fond of it. There are a lot of animals though, and one of the days is a bonfire. I suppose it's difficult to find 24 bits for a nativity scene!

If you to your parish church they should have a variety in the on the piety stall. That way the money will go to your local church as well.

Angie1978 Our piety stall only has just picture ones (no good for the kiddiwinks who feel left out of the chocolate advent calendar club). I'd actually like to see more shops stocking nativity themed advent calendars, rather than just having to get them from church or from very niche shops (which is why I think the M&S one is great). I think it's a shame that you can get a peppa pig or one direction advent calendar pretty much everywhere, but Baby Jesus is a minority interest! I always found that growing up in a religious family but going to a very secular school that any of my religious activities were considered "weird" and "sad". We were never allowed chocolate advent calendars except this one time that my mum got a nativity one from Poland, and at school it marked us out that we weren't allowed "normal" advent calendars.
FrozenFlowers I've seen the advent stable- I actually wrote to Lakeland last year to ask them if they'd consider doing a chocolate nativity advent calendar, but no cigar. I would consider one if I didn't already have my granny's crib set (that I used to play with when I was little) and a REALLY REALLY CUTE set of nativity tree ornaments from paperchase that I'm going to hang on a mini tree.
DandyDan I hadn't seen that one before but looks good! 10p isn't a very big charity donation though- might be a bit cheeky to call it a charity calendar for just over 2%... But I hope the chocolate is nice in it... Baby Jesus wouldn't want us eating horrid chocolate... Wink
