Tarot reading

Is there anyone on here who would be willing to do a reading for me? Don't want to say more as I don't want to be jumped on by loads of people saying it's nonsense.

Thank you. Smile

I saw that your post had not yet had a reply and wanted to reply.

I am just curious why you wanted a Tarot reading. Please feel free to ignore my question.

I'm a Christian and have no interest in Tarot cards (in fact I think they are dangerous, it is not that I think them nonsense but that I think it is not helpful to try and work out the future in this way).

Before you think I am totally negative, I would like to suggest two alternatives in case these interest you.

Please do not be offended by my suggestions below...

Ruach cards

www.ruachcards.co.uk/index.html

The Jesus Deck

www.christian.co.uk/odd-or-funny/the-jesus-deck-bible-cards-are-new-age-hit-p1934

I think it may seem funny when you have asked about Tarot that I have replied with these ideas.

However, as you can see regarding the Ruach cards this website says of someone ..."I was lucky enough to have a reading of the Ruach cards and although cynical of things spiritual was amazed at how specifically relevant to my situation the reading was."

And the other website says of the Jesus Deck ..."?It is also a very personal approach, not so much about theology and doctrine but application to people?s daily lives."

I have had both readings done and found them very helpful and inspirational so I hope in your journeys if you do find these alternatives available, you will at least consider them.

All best wishes in your journey.

I've used the Jesus Deck at Mind, Body and Spirit and Psychic Fairs and have been trained on the Ruach Cards although I haven't used them for a while. It is really good to hear from Italiangreyhound that they were helpful Smile
.

What I would like to make clear is that these tools are not for telling the future but they are an aid in a conversation about an issue that someone brings.

Given that I do go to MBS fairs and I am aware of the range of what is out there I would say that tarot readers are a mixed bunch. Some are very insightful. Others are not. How you tell the difference is a difficult one.

I hope you find the answers/help you are looking for

Thanks thegreenheartofmanyroundabouts I meant to say that Ruach and Jesus Deck are not about telling the future. As you say they are an aid. I think they are also very personal to the person who is receiving the attention. In both cases I think they stired me up and made me feel quite emotional, and special, that the 'reading' was really for me.

I am just wondering OhLittleTownofWesternWind what it is you are hoping to gain from the Tarot, but of course I don't want to pry.

My reason for getting my Ruach and Jesus deck was just curiosity - and I was at the sort of place where they would be. I also knew a bit about them first so knew what I was doing.

Anyway, all best wishes to you both.

I'm in a position in life where I'm starting to be able to move on from a lot of bad stuff in the past, and I'm finding myself confused by some of the options in front of me now. I'm looking for something to help bring me focus and maybe give me some fresh perspective.

Thank you for the advice about the other cards. I'd never heard of these before. I don't think Tarit cards are dangerous per se, but I suppose if people place a lot of reliance on them and think they can tell the future then that's a bit worrying.

Thanks again for replying.

OhLittleTownofWesternWind, thanks for replying.

I would certainly recommend counselling if you can find a place to get some affordable help, I've had lots of counselling in my life, mostly for fertility issues, some for other things such as an eating problem. The first time I ever had counselling was for anxiety/panic attacks. I found counselling very, very helpful. It does not make the decisions for you, it just helps you to think logically, rationally and to help you to be in control in a really good way. I know lots of people might say they don't need counselling, and maybe they don't, but good counselling doesn't require you to become dependant on it, it enables you to be helped to a feeling of liberation. With the anxiety I had it really helped set me free from very destructive thinking.

Anyway, I really hope you will get whatever help helps and will move on in a really good way, .... all the best.

Hey there, I just felt when I read your post that I had given this piece of advice previously to someone else, and it stands to be true for everyone, anywhere.
No matter which situation you are faced with - I truly believe the very best thing to do is to trust your gut and your heart. Sometimes our minds can't calm down and keep on asking ourselves the same questions, then fear can set in. If you go with what you really feel, then I can say this must be the best guidance - that often - many of us are taught to ignore, when it's the best radar for our lives. If you go with what you really feel in your heart is the best thing for you now, and take steps to make it so, then this is the best thing for you to do. Sometimes, we listen to others when what we really need to do is just listen to ourselves xxx with love xxx
