Well he's a big Christian iirc- Bridge Across Forever- his autobiography goes into it all.

no the book concept isn't christianity at all as far as I can see

finding one's true self, path of enlightenment yes .. reincarnation, levels of another life where the spirit knows all

I was very into him as a teenager- it was a long time ago, but I'm sure I remember that he was surprisingly Christian. Apprently he was a christian scientist at one stage. I have a feeling he was kind of chrisitian but not into organised religion. But it was a long time ago.
