Thanks for that Megandsoph. It seems to be a good site but this dream was very specific in its detail and the people who were in it IFKWIM.

Will def return to the other site as I am fascinated by dreams.

Hi there. It is all a tad mixed up. Ok here goes.

THE DREAM
DH and I decided to renew our marriage vows and all the preparations were going ok until I had 2nd thoughts. I didn't tell him but I was still harbouring a light for an ex, though we hadn't been romantically involved for 15 years. I went to town with a friend and half the main street was dug up and the Police were directing pedestrians. The policeman who led us across the road knew me, though I didn't know him, and he was wishing me well on renewing our vows. All of a sudden I thought to myself "get a grip and get home and get ready for the ceremony". Next I was walking through flooded waters. I turned the corner to go home and in front of me I saw my father being escorted either side by two relatives. He had a high alcohol dependencey (that is reality) and I just slumped to the pavement in shock that he could do this to me on such an important day. I went to the house and my uncle was comforting me.

Next part I remember

The next day I was in some sort of theme park (I think) wearing a fairytale dress and I was getting into a limosine to go to the airport to fly to another country to renew my vows. But the person who was supposed to be me wasn't me she was someone else that I don't recognise.

I know that all sounds totally cock-a-hoop but it was so vivid.

Any ideas?

Is Huggybear now known as Tamba?

Tnx

Huggybear might come in disguise but yes she has changed her name Wink

I have some ideas about your dream but first want to say that the way I look at and interpret dreams is that they are thought processes with powerful intent. We don't often ge a chance to visulise during the day and feelings we have come out at night. I notice that my dreams manifest in both te day and night if you can be open and aware. With that in mind it is important for peace and hapiness in yourself and others if you are mindful of what you are thinking in the day and night.

The thoughts/dreams you have are doors or options you can have, cravings, fears and choices. How much you act upon them is part of the magic and makings of life.

I am no expert at the meanings of various symbols of dreaming yet. Rather I see patterns. Huggybear might be able to help more with indications and symbols in dreams.. or look in the site that MegandSoph gave you :)

I see in your dream that you had another option and path in life. An important one to you that you did not take. You still hold residue energy for this pathway, either emotions for the person or the situations and kind of life it would have brought you.

The policeman seems like a spiritual figure (God) or spiritual law that is trying to guide you and give safe passage in your indecision.

The flood and your fathers drinking to me seem somewhat combined in that they are adversity and a situation uncontrollable. The knock your pride and confidence.Your uncle like the policeman is there to help you.

It is good you have helpers and they tend to come when you are having trouble dealing with things yourself.

The end of the dream seems to relate to me to the ex-boyfriend. It is another life where the grass always looks greener.

You have a great way with words! And I have to say that what you have interpretted is very relevant but I would have never thought if it that way. I do believe in Angels looking out for me. The path you talk about has been preying on mind for quite some time but it has absolutely nothing to do with the ex boyfriend, well not in a relationship type thing anyway.

It was strange that my uncle should come into it as he isn't someone I have much contact with but is a strong character.

I was afraid that my dream was telling me something else but am happy with your interpretation as I can see the relevance.

Thank you so much.

Paps, if you happen to come back to this could you take a look at my Chrystals and Chakras thread. I think you could give some answers there too. Thanks

That is very well that you recognise the path without the lessons of the past being repeated (ex) whether they were bad or good. If you choose to take that path knowing what you do within your dreams and waking hours is a good thing imo.

I am not very knowledgeable about Angels and am still waking to see my familars. My heart jumps at the sensation which is surely frightful for them I guess.

Don´t be scared of the path whether you take it or not. The guides are also within yourself giving you support to be strong, even when there is change for it is a good thing, change. It is life and nothing is truely static. eg Your uncle is your kin so you have strength in your blood and not just running waters so to speak. You can have what you dream ( the end part ) in this life. Dreams of all aspects of yourself.

This something else in your dream I recognise in my life. I see your dream in my dreams - not the same but a pattern in pathways of womenhood and sexuality.

Where are you HB? hope you are well and not off slaying dragons Wink
