CaptainDippy · 23/01/2006 09:04

Hello - Due to popular demand, I have set up this thread so that MNers can post their prayer requests!! You do not have to be a Christian to post a prayer request, but we Christians believe that prayer really works, so let us pray through a situation for you!! - Let's support and encourage one another through this facility - Here's to many MN prayers being answered!!

Thanks CaptainDippy.

Prayer for good health would be very welcome. DD had tonsilitis last week, better now. But now, DS1, DS2 and me all have it. We are all now on antibiotics (started this morning) but are all feeling pretty grim. DH has merrily trotted off to work this morning leaving me to cope alone. as per ususal! So please pray for a speedy recovery for us all. Thanks.

Fab idea! I'll remember to check in each day and add anyone to my prayer list.

A prayer for my God-daughter would be much appreciated.

Oh poppies poor all of you. Lots of videos are in order I think. Forget about the housework etc for a couple of days and rest. Hang in there. x

What a great idea . I am missing my fellowship group as have gone back to work in the mornings so this is very timely. Will try to remember to add you all to my prayer list. Please pray that I can resolve the situation with RE teaching for dd1-not at all sure about "a story about how the world was made" which is how it appears in the parent's notes for this term.
Many thanks
Kate

gosh what an usual idea... fab
im doing my best on by myself, but if anyone out there could say a prayer or two for my sister....shes on her 2 week wait to find out if her latest cycle of ivf will result in her first child. She wants so badly to have a baby, and been through so much just to get this far.
I keep asking the Angels for help, i guess that is my own kind of praying, but I dont mind going straight to the big man himself!
Thankyou((((hugs))))

Poor fostermum - I am praying for you - please keep us updated, life sounds really tough for you right now, but hear, hear to what dadofthree said - You are going to get through this - with God's help and His strength - not yours!!

How is stuff with you Milliways and Poppies?? - I continue to offer you up to the "Big Man"!

And you god daughter too, MASWM and Kate - with your education issues!!!

Poptot - so scary about your sister, she must be terrifed - I am praying so hard for a miracle - Please keep us informed!! Please!!

Pussycatmomma - Welcome to the thread, glad to have you with us - Will defintely pray for your sister with the IVF treatment - my friend has just had a baby boy after waiting 13 years - He was a "last cycle" IVF baby - She was about to give up, but God brought her a little miracle and he is gorgeous!! Praying for you too - whether you like it or not!!

I think that I am going to set up a "Prayer Progress" thread and an "Answered Prayer Thread" too - so that we can keep track of people's requests and rejoice when prayers are answered (which is always my favourite bit!!)

Just to say - Thank you so, so, so much for prayers regarding DD1's 1st night's sleep in a "Big Girl Bed" - She slept right on through -didn't wake up once - despite the fact poor DD2 (who has a poorly tummy) woke up wailing in the middle of the night having done a HUGE sloppy poo - EVERYWHERE and I meant - EVERYWHERE!! So prayers her tummy would be better would be very nice!! And prayers that DD1 would take her 1st daytime nap in her new "Big Girl Bed" - esp as I need to go and leave her with neighbour!!

Phew - Looooong post - sorry!!

I have changed my name because I feel so weak today, i can't even face up to people knowing who I am.

I would really appreciate it if you could add me to your prayers. I am feeling so miserable and incapable right now that when I read yesterday's thread about the lady who is scared she will die and leave her children motherless, I actually found myself wishing I could be dead. I know I don't want to be really, but sometimes it seems that death will be the only thing that will lift my burdens from me.

AnotherPoster. I don't know what to say! Am praying that God will give you strength and peace.

Wow. Am amazed that so many have posted here. What a real encouragement.

Thank you CaptainDippy for setting up this thread. The Poppies household is feeling a little better now. Kids back and school. Baby sleeping and eating better and the antibiotics have really kicked in and I am feeling a bit brighter.

Could you please pray for DH. He works extremely long hours (didn't get home before 3 am at all last week) and is looking for new job. Has two interviews on Thursday. Please pray they will be productive and God will provide him with the job that will suit him and our homelife better. Thanks.

Hi-am assuming someone prayed for my problem as have had a meeting with dds teacher and been reassured about the RE. In fact dd told me that it was a bit babyish and she had studied it much better in Sunday School . Will keep checking in and keep you all in my prayers.
