Reptile owners- where do you keep your live food?

Just that really. Am getting a Panther Chameleon in a couple of months but a bit yuck at the thought of keeping the live food in the house. Is it ok to keep crickets and locusts in an insulated shed or do they need to be warmer? Thanks!

I keep live crickets in small tanks in my lounge. I clean them out once a fortnight and they never smell. They do chirrup a bit, but it's not very loud. You need to keep them in a warm place or they'll die or will struggle to digest their food which can make them sick.

I have a roach colony living in a RUB on top of my viv. They are kept warm because they are just above where my bearded dragon's basking lamp is. Roaches do not smell or make a noise. They can't jump or climb the sides of the box, and if they do escape it's too cold for them to live for long. I hate crickets; they bite, they are fast and they are sooo noisy! I sometimes buy locusts 100 at a time and keep them in another RUB so that I can gut-load them.

In the fridge to keep them sleepy and less likely to hatch. I use mealworms
