My cat is vomiting?

On Christmas day my 9 year old male, neutered cat starting coughing up or vomiting clear fluid (saliva?) and foam.
I'm worried about him as he's not getting any better.
I'm unable to have a vet check him until payday, (DS's birthday is 23rd Dec, + xmas... I'm wiped out!) which is not until the 8th Jan.
He's eating and drinking as normal.
Anyone have any advice? Sad

Call the RSPCA and ask their advice. Alternatively I'm sure if you went to the vet and told them that your cat is in distress but you can't afford to pay, they would see the cat anyway. But why don't you have pet insurance? You shouldn't have a pet if you can't afford to care for it properly.

Pet insurance isn't mandatory.
I was unaware that one of the cats owners losing their job 7 years into the cat's life rendered them such a terrible person.
Especially as I recused this cat as a four week old kitten, from a home where he was being used as a football.
The cat is cared for perfectly well.

Emergencies happen. It was unexpected. Especially so soon after forking out a fortune on keeping everyone else happy.

You shouldn't judge what you don't know

I shall ask and beg tomorrow!
He does know us very well as he's the resident vet at the cat hospice where I volunteer.
A very lovely man and a fantastic vet.
Thankyou Usualsuspect
