A friend of mine who is a journalist is crowdsourcing funding for a reporting project on domestic violence. 2 women every week are killed by a male intimate partner, which is something that is so commonplace it is rarely even considered 'news'.

And, often, there's an element of victim blaming where people ask 'why didn't she just leave'? Of course it's not that simple, and this project aims to look into the practical and financial problems involved in 'just leaving' an abusive relationship.
