Apologies if this has been mentioned, but I did a search and can't see it anywhere.
Clarks have a terrible message to children on shoes.

I think it is important to sign the petition and make them aware of it.

Unbelievable!!!! This has made me really angry. My daughter wrecks her shoes in days because she climbs trees, plays football etc How utterly ridiculous!

Shared in Facebook too, still angry !!

I found it on Twitter, and I think it is something that should get a lot of support from MNetters - once they know there is a petition.

Thanks so much for sharing - I started the petition and am overwhelmed by the response, particularly all the supportive feminist comments. Who knew it would be so easy to find 15,000 fabulous feminists! :) Honeybun xx aka @EmmaDixon_Green xx

Bloody ridiculous! Do you think the advertisers have actually met any girls? Hmm FFS!

Signed. Should this really be necessary in the 21st century?

actually the shoes are more sexist than the signage.

Signed. I went in Clarks recently as DD wanted sandals with flashing lights on. I walked out again when I read these signs.

I got her sandals from the boys section in Next in the end. All the girls sandals looked like they would fall apart as soon as she wore them, becaise, of course, girls are delicate little creatures who couldn't possibly need robust, sensible summer shoes Hmm

Yes, I signed this yesterday - it was emailed to me. I'm not shocked, sadly, but am disgusted. I too find it hard to find shoes that are just shoes, rather than some weird stereotypical gender statement! Hopefully we can change things. Change the signs, then work on the shoes!

Signed - how ridiculous. Clarks should be ashamed of themselves.

Bloody pink and blue sexist claptrap. Aaargh! This wouldn't have looked out of place in the 60s when I was humiliated by a Clark's assistant for wanting to try on a pair of desert boots.

Signed.

This doesn't mention the third poster that I saw in my local Clark's beginning: "because we know that all children are different...". Which made me laugh given the message on the blue and pink posters!
