And though john hemming is an arsehole at times, the law is also an ass at times, some rules need to be broken. There used to be laws against things we all accept now, or rules against them. Racism, sexism, women having the vote, homosexuality. Because people stood up, got counted, died for their beliefs, rightly those things have changed.

I saw what went on with him and naming people is wrong.
That's why he was banned.
It's a separate issue, though.
Yet more separate is the fact the stupid arse tells people to gather their kids and run, rather than stay and fight. That's wrong too, and I don't like him, despite that, he has pushed things further into the public eye (despite most of it being down to his buffoonery) and that can only be a good thing when he leads the way for people who may feel they have wrongly lost their children and otherwise have no voice.

The key thing is that he named a vulnerable child in the UK care system. And posted deliberately selected excerpts from documents in a language he later claimed not to understand well, which shows recklessness in handling of information.

People need to be held to account for actions such as those.

I will say though, nobody has said the system as it stands is perfect and always correct, so I don't know why you are arguing that this isnt the case? Especially when you agree that the bloke is an arse, in general.

The petition is against him not being held accountable for breaking the law, which you say you do disagree with, you are just happy with "no publicity is bad publicity". I can see where you are coming from :)

But I just imagine that if i were in a similar position, and had negative experiences that I couldnt talk about, I would rather have less of a buffoon at the helm. I think he damages the cause more than does it good

Given that, he was still wrong to do that and should be held to account, as well as for outing mn members, invasion of privacy at a quite high level IMO and utterly wrong.

Who doesn't? Indeed most literature I had from the midwife said to 'include older children in this manner to prevent them feeling left out when new baby arrives'
There were other such stupid statements that made it look as if dd was practically a slave in our house.. I 'made' her wash up
She was 'made' to tidy her own 'shock horror' room.
Her tv time was limited.

These people and this system need to be blown wide fucking open.

Open a forum subsection for parents who have lost a child to ss to openly speak whilst omitting names and identifiers, you will see the lies discussed there and be shocked.

I've met him and think he's a twat who wouldn't have gotten involved if not for his own ss issues
But those who have lost theirs have no one else, sadly
Have to grit my teeth because frankly his advice is crap and could mean a real abusive family absconding with a really at risk child
'The cause' doesn't need him in my own personal opinion, he's simply attached himself to it like a leech

But sadly he is a public figure and that's what others think they need, who am I to argue

Well sitting on your arse and doing nothing certainly doesn't change anything.

Already this afternoon, 2 of my real life friends who knew nothing about Hemming apart from what a charming cad (sic) he is and how he and his mistresses have hilarious issues with feline pets have been awakened to what his agenda really is.

So, if by my publicising it on my wall has done that, then it's a day's work well done really.

And the Lib Dem party seem to just stick their fingers in their ears and go laaa laaa whenever anyone complains about him so instead of the monkey, the petition is going to the organ grinder.

What I meant Drank is petitions like the Hillsborough one were more effective as it was done through the Government site so it forced it to be discussed in parliament.

Sometimes they do. I had one online, a long time ago and it achieved what I had asked for. Basically it depends on how many signatures the petition gets.

Hopefully if it gets signed worldwide it'll achieve something :)
