"Start brushing your babies gums with a baby toothbrush and boiled cooled water at the first sign of teething. It helps harden the gums and gets them used to having their teeth and gums brushed."

[gnashing teeth]

Maybe you do it differently if you only have one child and have run out of apostrophes.

Soupdragon - point it out to MNHQ. They're at fault for letting it through.

It'll be gone by tomorrow ao I'm not overly bothered. I don't usually come through the homepage anyway.

MayPolerBear - why not Polar?

I used to be StealthPolarBear but I had a seasonal name change: May Pole (or is that usually one word?) rBear

Oh, it's you.

Phew, it's a pun, not a misspelling. I can rest easy now....

I'm less alarmed by the apostrophe debacle and much more concerned about the "boiled cooled water".

Surely cooled boiled water would be safer. How hard do we want these baby's to be?

SoupDragon - ditto tooth gnashing. That's the kind of sentence that trips up my eyes and drives me insane as I try to make it work.

Yesterday I read the instructions on a set of plastic pots for storing baby food and it had the same effect on me. They read something like this: "accidents have occured with babies being left with feeding equipment unattended. When heating in a microwave, remove lid. Heating in a microwave may result in some areas of the food becoming very hot. Remove lid when heating in a microwave [yes, it really did say that twice] Check temperature before feeding..." and so on, and so forth.

Note to self [proud mummy alert]: must brush my baby's tooth.
