Pedantic about my baby's toys - Sanguine may need to get out more...

I'm sure five months is far too young to be influenced by poor grammar, but I do wish the people who make toys for children would make a bit of an effort! One of my son's cloth books reads like this:

Who has hidden little cat's dinner? it begins with A. Is it in the washing machine? Its 1 Apple.

What has little horse lost? Is it in the wardrobe? It begins with B. how many bananas ? 1. 2.

What has little cow lost? Is it in the tea pot? It begins with C. How Many Carrots ? 1. 2. 3.

Who is hiding behind the curtains? "Boo! It was me" Naughty little puppy.

"It was naughty puppy!" Said the hungry animals.

"But now we know our... a b c 1 2 3"

The End

My poor little boy never gets to appreciciate the (gripping) plot line because his mummy is holding forth about capital letters and apostrophes. Do you think I need help?

My DD has a bouncing Tigger (a gift, I hate Disney) and it sings and then says "Let's bounce again - wanna?"

"Wanna?" is said in this drawling voice and it really pisses me off that my DD might pick up this appalling grammar.
