Why do so many people say this.
And Fiethery is a hairy bird that can't spell not a criminal act.

I apologise. My friend just sent me a link of Kerry Katona on GMTV and she repeatedly said 'feith' and 'feithery' . Which I realised I had heard lots before and annoyed me.

But I am worse for watching the link.

You mean instead of thief?!

Took me ages to work out what a fieth was

That annoys me too.

Too many to list. there's the obvious such as bought and brought. Oh, and 'catching the train'.

I'd like to see someone try

"Bring it over there."

This one simple sentence almost ended my marriage.

A small child may be forgiven for fiething. An adult should be hung.

Surely an adult should be hanged

You beat me to it barnstaple

LittleWonder · 19/03/2008 16:53

Even if they are drawn and quartered? Good question Barnstaple.

Report
LittleWonder · 19/03/2008 16:54

I cannot quite see "hanged, drawn and quartered"

LittleWonder · 19/03/2008 16:58

Very well:

A small child may be forgiven for fiething.
An adult should be hanged.

Yes, of course.

"Meat is hung; people are hanged." (picture it said by a Trunchbull-type matriarch)

KK - at the moment she is on the radio talking about "shhtrawberry cheesecake"
am I missing the not-so-silent h in strawberry?

I'm afraid that there were often hanged, drawn and quartered. It would probably be more humane if they were hung and illustrated, then shared out. Oh dear, I'm tired, sorry.

You can't even say it properly. It's feef and feevin.

Call yourself a pedant?

Chuh!
