Wherefore art thou a pedant? Pleasantly surprising result

Someone on the thread below wrote "OP, wherefore art thou?" clearly misconstruing wherefore to mean where. I posted on there an hour ago to pedantically point out the correct meaning, fully expecting to be hit with an AIBU blast to get back to pedants' corner.

Amazingly, I got agreement and a pleasant "you learn something new". So, on a light-hearted thread maybe it is worth sometimes picking up on such errors rather than just coming on PC to rage. (Although I appreciate some of you like to come here and rage as well!)

But the anger is usually directed at the rest of the world, not each other. That's really depressing me on MN at the moment. No one can just disagree, they launch into self-righteous, vicious attacks.

I found out on here the other day the word is reMuNeration, not the other way round as I've assumed for so long
