Do anyone see that news item about the primary school someqhwre in England that sent home a letter to parents asking them to correct their children if they used any of the following - "You was", "I done" and (hooray hooray) "he was sat"? The letter helpfully included details of the correct form, all too necessary I imagine. I can't link to it but it was in yesterday's Daily Fail online (I know, I know, so shoot me...I read it ironically...)

Yes it's in today's Telegraph.

Good for her.

Nothing wrong with slang and regional dialects but children need to know when not to use them.

I'll let you off with "someqhwre".
