Party from 1-3, could it work?

The hall we would ideally like isn't free until 12:30 and dd1 has another party to go to later. It is for a reception class party so would have to eat almost straight away ~1.15 and then games after. There are two halls so we can have the food all set up but not in sight in the small hall ready to go. I am working the other two weekends and I don't think ds would be willing to wait more than a week after his birthday. Otherwise will need to find another hall.

I'd book it and serve the food at 2. The parents will probably expect you to do this anyway and will give them brunch or a snack before they arrive.
