DS usually share his party with another boy from school in Nov. I feel we have exhausted the list of typical party ideas over the last few years:

  • soft play (x 2)
  • swimming party
  • bowling

Definitely don't want to do it at home, and given we're talking about a group of say 16 boys I'm not sure I want to be in charge of e.g. a cinema trip, although I suppose we could make it a smaller group perhaps?

    What else?

He doesn't want to do the indoor football type thing.

    Climbing wall?
    Kiddi Karting?

i would cut it right down to about 5 kids and go to the cinema and for a pizza. Or what about laserquest?

DS1 had a fantastic time at a climbing wall party for a classmate's 7th birthday.

We're doing 6 to the cinema, then back home for pizza - shop bought bases and each child top his own. Can do one party game and open presents while they cook.

How about a themed party of your son's choice? Hire a hall so you don't have to do it at home, hire a childrens entertainer so you don't have to worry about games etc and hire a food caterer who can do themed food.
