Minibeast party ideas?

My soon to be 6yo has been asking for a minibeast party since they did minibeasts as a topic at school. Just wondered if anyone has done this before or has any ideas? I've googled it but all I can find are lots of highly artistic people on Pinterest who have hand crafted a million origami grasshoppers which is way beyond my aspirations!

I was thinking more dressing up as ladybirds and bees, pin the leg on the spider, jelly worms in the pass the parcel...

We had a minibeast party once, we had a ladybird birthday cake, but apart from that I can't remember what we did!

There was something involving cards with insects on....

I think pin the leg on the spider is good though. Maybe an insect themed 'Kim's game', hide some insects in the garden (toy ones) and see which team can find the most, make a paper plate spider, get one of those games where you flick the bugs into a bucket using a frog...

Buy some magnifying glasses and go on a bughunt. Have a picnic and give prizes to anyone with an aphid on their food.
