DS is turning 5 soon, and wants a superhero (more specifically Spiderman) party.

I've got a few ideas together on pinterest, and found some suppliers, but wondered if anyone here has any tips and/or experience to share?

thanks :)

I do, I do!!

Use a plastic tablecloth on the wall and print out (and laminate) a quote to use as a Spider-man version of pin the tail.
'Pass the bomb' instead of ptp.
Find the bomb - the kids went outside to play for a while and we hid black balloons but print outs would be better.
We had streamers and balloons as a back drop for the food table.
We did an assault course at the end of the party (the hall we booked had an outside green space) of crawling through a tunnel, lifting an inflatable dumbbell, star jumps and then green ballons, filled with helium, tied to chairs with 'villain' faces drawn on for them to zap with silly string.

The invites were top secret invitations to try out for the superhero league. I made my own logo and tailored each invite to each child, along the lines of: child x, your sensational scooting, running and climbing skills have been noticed by us........... Etc. and they each had a certificate in the party bag congratulating them on passing the test and being welcomed into the superhero league.

Party bags were personalised capes and masks that they wore throughout the party.

I must confess, I don't think I'll ever be able to better this party - it was awesome! pats self on back

Also, I bought bottled water from the supermarket, the small sports bottles, and re labelled them using sticker paper (from pound shop) and I made each child their own logo in a 'pow' type explosion shape.
Then cups weren't lost and it was just another little touch of personalised, superhero coolness.

We had a superhero party at hamleys for my sons 4th birthday.

I made hand made capes out of red crushed velvet and sewed the first initial of each child's name on the back in Gold felt. The kids loved them !
