how do I make one of these, I can get my head round the decorating bit but how to get a hedgehog shap[e cake?

MY MUM GAVE ME A pyrex bowl to make a domed shaped but it really needs to be a bit pointy at one end doesn't it?

someone else said about making a round cake and cutting it or somthing

any ideas?

Hi,
I would make a round cake in the pyrex bowl and then a small square one that you can cut bits off to make the pointy end. Then use a whole load of buttercream to stick the bits together and cover the cake before you decorate it.
Hope this helps

I'd either make the Pyrex bowl cake (does work but you'll need to increase the cooking time) and another one in a square tin so you can stick bits on, or use the site Furball suggested
the latter looks easier!

You could supplement with hedgehog bread rolls you know - snip spines with scissors, then coat with egg glaze, they look fab!!

Ahhh that cake is sooo cute! Have bookmarked it so my mum can make me one for my birthday. (Am a big kid at heart!)

I do like the baby hedgehogs.
