Has anyone ever managed to hire a costume of a recognisable cbeebies character - eg Bob, Tweenies, Fimbles, Noddy etc for an adult. We wanted a favourite character to make an entrance and give out party bags - but have drawn a blank on the internet so far...

Plus, other mums - would you mind if your four year old attended a party with a candy floss machine at it??!!!(DD's most favourite thing in the whole world!!!)

Our priest dressed up as Postman Pat one year to open the church fete. It was quite a long time ago now though - I have no idea where he would have got the costume from. have you looked at those adverts on the back on CBeebies comics? They might be able to help.

If my 4 year old went to a party with a candy floss machine he would be fascinated but wouldn't eat it so I would be quite happy

candy floss is fine IMO.

A colleague once dressed up as a reasonable Bob the Builder (his name was Bob which was why he did it) - check shirt, jeans, tool belt, big yellow hat, it did look quite good actually.

The staff at my toddler group hired tweenies costumes a few years ago (no idea where from, sorry), so they do exist.

Candy floss is fine. You expect your kids to eat sweets etc at a party.
