help... birthday party 8 year old girl?

does anyone have any ideas for party for 8 year old girl... ideally at home as do not wish to rely on other parents transporting kids? will probably be about 15 other girls.

Crafts, something fairly simple but gives an end product like Mini Jewellery Boxes , Beaded Stars , Diary Kits ,

PLus stuff like Nail Art

I think sparkler had the bast idea recently for a girlie birthday party. She got some cheap tshirts and fabric glue and let them loose!!! There is a thread about it somewhere but I completely braindead so looking for it is impossible right now.

For my girlies I have done make-over parties. My friends and i get together and one does their hair, one nails, one make-up and then we do dancing games and dressing up in all my girlies tutus etc (they have a HUGE selection of dancewear). Always goes down well in our house

some great ideas and links here, thanks. the t.shirt idea sounds great as most kids will enjoy that. I was considering hair and make-up but i think the girls would probably teach me a thing or two!!!
