Dd will be six soon and is a big fan of anything arty/creative. ELC and Woolies do some great crafty stuff.

jewellery making things; card-making; dd got an Etch a sketch (exactly like we used to have) which she quite likes; also very taken with her tamagotchi (not sure if that's a brand name - her's isn;t the genuine thing, just a cheapo pocket pet or something) and very fond of an almost real "silver" necklace with a ballet shoe pendant

DD's favourite birthday gift was the game of Monopoly Junior. We've played it many times, and she really enjoys it.

Try this website Tickseed someone else recommended it on another thread and there are some really good things for under £10.00 for girls of that age especially in the craft section and postage is £1.25 for £5.00 and under and £2.00 up to £10.00 instead of the around £4.00 flat fee that others charge.
