Party music

I'm organising my first birthday party for dd1's 2nd birthday and I have no idea what I'm doing what music would be appropriate. It would be for a few games (pass the parcel, musical bumps) and also to have on in the background.

We play nursery rhyme CDs at home, or ones with kids songs like the wheels on the bus, but is that ok for parties? Pop music seems a little adult. I'm happy to buy something, but don't have an iPhone or whatever for downloading music.

I would stick with the nursery rhyme stuff. It is for the children not the adults after all. I hope it goes well.

Thank you, that's very helpful.

Google johnny and the raindrops. Rock and roll specifically for small children, and does not make adult ears bleed. You can order CDs I think.

Thank you, that's ideal.
