How much time do you spend organising the party

Hi all,

I'm a working mum and I have to organise my daugther's first birthday party in June. I was just wondering how much time it takes you to organise a party? I want to hire a hall and find an entertainer but have very little time as I'm very busy at work...:(

Thanks!

Berenice

Is it your daughters first birthday, or the first party you are organising? I'm guessing the latter as a hall and entertainer would be lost on a 1 year old!
As to the time, you can spend as much or little as you have. A hall and entertainer does take more time add you have to book hall, find and book entertainer, invites, do food etc
If you are pushed for time an easier option is somewhere that does most of the work for you e.g soft play place that will also do food in a party room, we are having Ds2's at leisure centre so organising took one phone call and buying and writing invites. All I have to do is confirm numbers night before and bring birthday cake. So much easier than last year's village hall affair!
