Quiz questions for 7 year old party

I will have about 6 children in all and they are all into different things but DS has his heart set on a quiz. He has a tight group of friends who I know very well, but I am just wondering if anyone has any ideas how to make this work. I think I can get together a decent amount of questions together but any suggestions welcome but mostly to do with how to get them to answer the questions without it turning into carnage and can we have a whole party with just a quiz and a pizza.

can you do it so they have to work together to get the answers as a team? or in say 3 pairs? if you can rope in some adults or older kids maybe having team leaders would help with reducing carnage? they could scribe and help the children to come to agreement on the answers?

you could also have picture rounds - name the person, name the flag, name the animal type thing, these could be stuck round the walls so the children get the chance to move a bit? and maybe a couple of more active rounds too - feel objects in a bag or taste foods blindfolded?

music round with tv themes maybe?

Do some audio/visual rounds eg famous faces picture board,
common sounds (eg a toilet flushing, a vacuum cleaner...not always that easy when you can't see them)
Maybe characters from books, eg what is the Wimpy Kid's real name? Name the Famous Five dog.

A taste test? Crisps? Not so easy when they aren't in their proper bag.

Sounds great fun, I love quizzes Smile.

What about 'guess the flavour of the crisp', or 'guess the sweet etc', these work well (check for allergies).

Good idea to keep moving round, you could add in some active type challenges, ie: how many star jumps in 30 seconds etc.

Brilliant ideas. I haven't thought of the idea of getting them active, but six boys in room for any length of time it makes obvious sense.

How about incorporating a treasure hunt? Maybe they have multi choice answers and have to answer the question right in order to pick the right envelope which contains the clue to the next destination. If they pick the wrong envelope, it could contain a forfeit. Maybe working in two groups or as one team in order to get a box of goodies at the end.

Good luck!

That is an inspired idea, although I have a very small flat and his birthday is February and not usually pleasant, but I am going to keep it in mind to see what I might be ale to do.
