Trying to sketch out dd1's party, she will be 8 after Christmas and wants a pj party, but I have a really mainc January so need to have some plan in place. She will be 8, party will be at home, max 6 friends, all well behaved except one possible invitee who dh vowed never to have in house again .
She was wanting something to do with bears (dh agreed could get be my bear kit), haven't suggested to her yet, but imagine will agree. Think will take 30min. She also wants to watch Narnia DVD, she wanted 1st, but is over 2hrs. Wondered if Dawn Treader (not so good, but shorter), might be better (107min). Plus food etc.
Was thinking of saying 4:30-7:30; maybe bear making, food then DVD, with blankets, popcorn, hot chocolate and bears. Does this sound enough, should we still have a few other party games? I know my nearly 8 and nearly 6 yr old will sit through it, will all children? Do I need other activities instead if a few are bored or will this ruin the party? Should I suggest guests come in pj/ leggings etc + dressing gowns? Any other tips?
