I normally never see her. I'm disorientated.

How old is she?

had you forgotten what she looked like?

Nearly 8. She used the phrase. I'm actually arguing, pathetically, so I can stay on here for a bit. My parenting has all gone into reverse.

Tell her you overdosed on quality time when she was 0-3 yrs, you are claiming some time back now
that's what I told my then 10 yo son and he truly could not reply...

Tell her you're fostering her independence skills.

Oh, I like those suggestions . She's reading to herself in her room now. We've been shopping, what more does she want?

Stop it now I've got to the heart of it, I think. Postman tried to deliver a parcel on Saturday. Going to get (and presumably eat) it = Quality Time. They're easily pleased.
