About to leave dd (11wks) for the first time...

with PIL, while DH and me go to a concert in London.

DH won't drive so we are at the mercy of Great Western Railways. What if we need to get back in a hurry? Or I get half way and want to turn round?

I am not behaving rationally.

I felt physically sick watching MIL give dd a 'test' bottle of ebm this afternoon.

I know she will be fine - MIL was a nurse and FIL a doctor and they are not infirm or stupid.

But PLEASE reassure me...

All will be fine, as you say you don't need to worry about her health. She may wake up but she could do that if you were at home. If DP can't settle DD while I am out he gets in the car and goes for a drive with her.

Have a great time

She will be fine

I left ds, not really by choice, when he was 2 weeks old. It was my birthday and dp had booked a table at a restaurant for us. I really didnt want to go and kept trying to make excuses.

We left ds with my dad. I left him a list of instructions of what to do, showed him how to feed and wind him and change his nappy, then my dad reminded me that he had 2 kids of his own

You will enjoy the break and your pil will love spending time with your dd
