Just got back from supermarket, where a delightful woman in her 40s took the (then) last parent and child space. Her only passenger was an old woman.

DH rolled down the window and thanked her taking the last space (sarcastically of course) to which she responded that the old woman (who wasn't even leaving the car!) was disabled. He pointed out there was a free disabled space next to the parent ones and drove on.

Found a space (hoorah!)which was fun being as i'm 9mths pregnant and we have 16mth old, then DH was congragulated by another mum in her car for telling her off.

Cue smug hero Dad
He still looks pleased with himself! Bless him.

But was the old woman registered disabled or just having temporary difficulties due to illness?

I just park at the end of the car park.. no-one else ever parks there & I have lots of space for getting the kids out.

dotcom

no parking worries for me!

The fact that I don't drive has nothing to do with it.......

the old woman wasn't leaving the car- it made no difference where she parked, and there was a disabled space right behind the kids one anyway.

fiofio- LOL

fireflyfairy- wouldn't mind usually, but in my current state it takes 3 times as long for me to walk (waddle John Wayne style) anywhere!
