hi,
i'm a first time mum, my ds is 15 months and i hvae no idea what to do to keep him entertained in doors on miserable days. in the summer he played in the garden a lot, and was in and out of the paddling pool etc.

i sufferd from pnd when he was young, and i'm still battling with it on and off. at the moment i'm having a bit of a down period (prob got something to do with the weather!) and i dont have much enthusiasm. i feel like we might be falling into a rut of too much tv.

any suggestions would be really helpful.
what do you do with yours when it's just to horible to go outside?

i know, but i feel so guilty. all this stuff in the news that too much tv can cause autism etc. ds would quite happily watch all day, it doesnt even have to be cebeeies or anything. he just stands there agog! cant be good can it?

Go swimming, to indoor play areas or join some toddler groups/ gym totty things. They will get u out the house aswell to help stop the cabin fever

if its dry outside (but cold) put on big cosy jumpers and wellies and go out for a walk and kick up the leaves. collect leaves and pine cones. conkers are probably gone now...

fresh air good for both of you just wrap up well

cinemas sometimes have parent and child mornings

do you have jo jingles or anything in the area?

do potato and carrot printing

go to ikea and leave him in the creche for an hour

hire a dvd at blockbuster

have a bath together one afternoon

plant some bulbs (this is the time of year to do it!)
