I'm worried that dd1 is doing too much. Mondays are dd2's swimming followed by dd1's brownies. Tuesday's are dd1's dance/disco (at a local play center) which dd1 sort of joins in followed by her swimming lesson. Then on Wednesday she's about to start gymnastics. The problem is that she has PE at school on Tuesdays and Swimming at school on Wednesdays. By Thursday I'm concerned she's going to be shattered. Am I worrying too much?

I think it's too much but maybe you could see how it goes. Also is it possible to do swops each week so ok they miss out one week but if they are keen at least they get to try it. I'd say swimming is the one to keep going to each week though.

Hope that helps.

Is she happy enough to do all these things?

It is similar to DS who is 6. He has beavers on Monday, swimming on Tuesday, football practice on Wednesday and PE is Monday and Wednesday. Just how it works out. But he was very tired last night.

welcome to the wonderful world of being a taxi service parent.

Luckily you have no DS or you would get roped into Saturday football, Saturday Cricket or Sunday morning Rugby depending on the season

DD's will be OK and long as they are getting their homework done and they do have some down time at home entertaining themselves

But I do have a ds, its just he's only 15 months so its not started yet...... . I agree that the swimming is the most important to me but probably not to dd1. She does have thursdays and fridays at home (although dd2 has just had her swimming scheduled to friday). I agree that I need to see how it all goes.

Kaloo I omitted to mention 3yo's DD's activities - swimming on a Friday and dancing on a Saturday because they are both mornings so don't impinge on DS but certainly add to my taxi-ing role. When you add all these activities to the nursery and childminder run on Tues-Thurs it really is hard work.

Monday is a big club day for us. DS's have computer club before school 8.15, then ds2 (6) has swimming at school in the afternoon. At 4pm both ds's have swimming lessons at the local pool, ds2 just gets back into his wet kit .
Tuesday DS2 has gym club after school and DS1 (9) has a nature club thingy at lunchtime.
Wednesday they have computer club again
Thurs ds1 has hockey 3 til 4.30
Friday we go the park on the way home from school (Whooo hoo)
