drop her off at the end of the school drive to walk up to school in the morning?

leave her to play with a group of friends (also unchaperoned) in the playground outside the school entrance at 8.45am?

cos we did this week as an experiment and she was delighted and fine

and other parents do

but I could see my mother was using all her power to stop herself screaming 'WHAAAATTT?' at me when dd told her

Are they really un-supervised? We are supposed to drop off and they play but there is always a teacher on duty.

Dropping at school gate pedestrian entrance, kids running in by themselves, no designated adults supervising although plenty adults milling around -- fairly common at our school from at least Yr1.

oh that's good to know lljkk

dd is physically disabled (she walks with a frame - or should I say she runs with it ) and sometimes I think we are so busy wanting her to be independent we are in danger of going too far iyswim
