sitting here sobbing as dd1 has gone to her big school for first day, dd2 to her nursery for first time and dd3 to playgroup for morning. DD1 was okay except all the others had their daddies there too and dh is away for work, and then she noticed they all had smart book bags and hers hasn't arrived yet (special bag with school emblem on, etc.)

dd2 seemed okay, but looked very small to me...

dd3 just smiling and kicking, luckily clearly loves her aupair more than me just now!

Shall I just crack open the cab. sauvignon now??

Go for it.

But don't turn up to collect them 3 sheets to the wind or a missing book bag will be the least of your worries

Make the most of the time to yourself!

I felt the same last year when my dd went off to school for the 1st time, I sobbed when I got home.

I have just had 6 weeks off with her and my ds and thought I would be glad to hand her back over to the school but no, I feel sad again and worry too much even though I complain about the kids hanging off me all the time!

Hope they all enjoyed their days today.

Here's some Dairy Milk for you (sorry, I don't do G&B, I am deffo a cheap and nasty girl!)

thanks all. Resisted opening a bottle, but became ever so slightly hyper on caffeine instead, clearly not able to cope with the combination of missing my babies and freedom!

dd1 very cool, dd2 very excited and dd3 deliriously happy with playgroup. So I guess it's just me then... Better get on with earning money to pay for it all I spose
