I've just sent the DSes off with a cheque each for £45 to cover their music lessons for the term.
DS1 wants to do drums - which is good because he won't be able to bring the drumkit home to practice on, and Ds2 wants to learn the Trumpet

When my kids went back to school I was asked for £30 each for a locker ie £90!!!!
One of my DTS has informed me that she wants to take guitar lessons and that they are a snip at £100.
My kids are at a state school - how do parents on bebefits manage??

then it just escalates and sport is ds2s LIFE - he doesnt relaly hev toys.

its his brithday today and he got:

a pair of cirkcet torusers
a cricket pacticse ball
englnad cricket shirt( almpst wept wiht joy at his point)
a book on,........ cricket( and a orrid henry one)
a bmx styl bike helmet (to look cool)
and a rugby branded( for he is labels erhcant) tracksuit

he has amazing coordination -t hast the prob he goes to try htese thigns out and they always want him to stay.

Regret that this continues for years to come - DS2 in sixth form but I'm still paying for tennis coaching, rugby club membership, bus season ticket etc etc. DS1 at university and I generously pay tuition fees and sometimes help with house deposits etc. 9 cheques used out of current book - 6 for items for DSs.

Ds1 has great co-ordination as a goalie, ans DH is hoping he will follow in the footstpes of his (DSes) hero, Craig Gordon and get a career as a footballer
