Books about starting nursery

DS1 is starting nursery 2 mornings a week in October when he will be 2 and a half. Does anyone know of any good books we can read to him to get him used to the idea? He's never really been away from me apart from with grandparents and an aborted attempt to leave him at the creche at the local pool.

How about taking him to some playgroups so he gets used to being in groups?

we go to 2 toddler groups a week, plus rhyme time at the library and parent and child swimming classes / gym classes. But I'm always with him. He's not used to being left - that's what I'm worried about.

I bought dd a really good one from amazon - will try and find it. DD too has never been away from me other than with grandparents and when we've talked about it she always asks if I'm going too and when I explained I would take her and come back later she would get upset. Since reading this book to her she is far better because its all about this aspect of going to nursery - basically the little girl is having too much fun to miss her mummy and in the end doesn't want to leave. Its american but I change some of the words...

hang on...

I second 'My first day at nursery' - fab. We still read it together now and she's starting school in a couple of weeks! Really did the job for us.
