I had a 20 minute stand off with DD1 yesterday until she finally ate her tea. I was so proud of myself for staying calm and patient and felt so pleased and smug when she finished it all and said it was yummy"

I (gently) managed to persaude DS1 to give Rugby training a go (he had initially said he wanted to go, but got cold feet as he's not got much self confidence and doesn't like doing new things). Am so glad he did as today he was stood looking at the calendar counting how many sleeps until the next training session

Have used a happy face chart & stickers to help stop dd kicking me during nappy changes and let me brush her hair.

This morning, though she started with the kicking - she must have seen the look on my face and immediately said "not kicking, mummy - I'm wriggling".

DD woke up at 5:30am this morning,
I staggered into her room with my eyes half-closed
but realised that she was still sleepy.
Shhhed her and left room.
All quiet. She had gone back to sleep!

She was wide awake 15 minutes later, though,
just to remind me who is boss.
