Can anyone advise me about my ds's 'bits'

He's 13 month and we travelled back from our holidays sunday night/monday morning. I changed his nappy when we landed yesterday and he was really wet and had a nasty red rash on his bum and round his bits, but the end of his willy looks a bit swollen.
Could this be because of the rash or could he have an infection. He had been fine up until yesterday morning.

I would leave him bare bummed as much as poss and see what happens.

metanium cream always sorts out ds with nappy rash. Maybe try that and see if it helps. If it doesn't then maybe a trip to the docs if you suspect infection.

Keep an eye on his willy - if it gets any more inflamed it could be balanitis - an infection of the foreskin. Ds got this 3 or 4 times at this age and was prescribed topical antibiotics which did the trick.

I would take him to the GP tbh, because ds ended up in a fair bit of pain whilst having a wee

Ds was susceptible to this because his foreskin was really (still is) tight.

wash whenever he goes in napy as wee got slight acidy an will hurt try nappy rash creams on your own sore hands before your ds sore bum! go dr if it isnt looking less swollen tomoro he could have infection an dr will be able to giv you creams for his sore bum, bits

wash it with water and put some zinc cream on it - leave it as dry as poss (no nappy). If it dosen't improve go to the docs.

My 7mo ds was like this a couple of weeks ago - his poor wee winkie looked like a wee mushroom! I just used the metanium & changed him more often for a few days plus kept the nappies off when I could. It didn't take long to clear & he didn't appear to be in pain.
