Massive Adult teeth

My 8 year old son had quite "rabbity" baby teeth at the front, then they fell out and his adult teeth have grown and he now has two HUGE rabbit teeth at the front with a massive gap inbetween them, he's getting quite concious of it but I'm sure in photos at that age of me I looked the same...

Are his teeth likely to close up and look more in proportion? if so...when?

All kids look like they have massive teeth when they first get them IMO
Takes a while to grow into them

We always used to call him rabbit teeth and he would laugh but now he gets quite upset and goes in a mood so I think its bothering him, am also wondering if someone at school has said something because on his school photo he wouldnt do an open mouth smile, just a "smirk"

My 9 yr old has those horrible big teeth too, it's normal. His were really crooked, but the dentist has said as he gets more adult teeth, and as he grows, they'll straighten up and look 'normal'

My 10 year old got his a few years back. They looked huge and he had a big gap. The gap is now slowly closing as the teeth next to them have been replaced by adult teeth also.
The dentist said it was good as it meant he would have plenty of room. I looked at photos of myself and realise that i also had a gap as a kid...and my adult teeth are nice and straight .
As for size...yep...he will definitely grow into them...ds's already look better than they did a few years back
