No, I find myself Rediscovering my Lentil Roots. I was very lentilly in my long-ago yoof.

I would agree, when they are tiny you go all ga ga for organic purees and cloth bottoms and things but after a few years you do anything for a bit of peace. Plus IMO it doesn't matter so much when they are a bit bigger if they have the odd ice pole or whatever.

DH gave my DS2 a Fruit Shoot yesterday, I was a bit jangly about that so I suppose the 'lentil weaver' must still be in there somewhere.

oh god yes i agree.
you know they will eb able ot make thier own choices in a few years anyway.

Fruit Shoot angst is a sign of being on mn too long .. its beamed directly to the solar plexus along with the Wi-Fi radiation

I am wondering how lentilly I will be. Does it take a huge amount of effort...?

LOL Twiglett, I did read the ingredients though, I don't like asperitame (or however you spell it), I have more or less given up Diet Coke. I took the DSs out today and they had Innocent smoothies when we went to a caff, DS2 tried to wangle a Fruit Shoot but I wouldn't give in. The girl on the till said about the smoothies "Do you know that these are bitter?" which I thought was a bit odd.

was in chinese with friend a couple of weeks back

After much internal wrangling with self I ordered 7-up for both my 6 and 3 year old (because that's their special thing when we go there) and friend had to explain to her 8 year old that actually it was ok and he could have it and that the whole conversation they'd had before they'd come out was null and void

I sway erratically. There is no consistency.

I would much rather Fat Coke than a Fruit Shoot.

lazycat · 26/05/2007 18:12

Ah. Then what I need is a manual for Lazy Lentilling.

my kids love innocent smoothies. dd3 throws a tantrum if we walk past them and dont buy any. she also does the same for brocolli.

Och no, I can never be bothered with the FS arguments, I've got my own opinions about them but can't be gassed what anyone else thinks about them, unless they agree with me of course .

can someone direct me to a fruit shoot thread? i'm relatively new here and i don't know what they are!

I realised by lentiliness was well and truly destroyed the day I sat, head in hands, in an Indian restaurant watching my allegedly veggie children drooling over tandoori chicken until daddy gave in and they gleefully sat passing the bone between them!
