I have just found out i am pg with my fifth, I have ds9 ds8 dd5 dd1. It was pretty planned, we felt there is too big a gap between the dds as one will be in y5 by the time the other starts school. But .......i'm suddenly overwhelmed by feelings of panic, I found having no4 pretty ok but i'm now worried no5 will push me beyond my ability to do everything, give them all time and continue the part time jobs I love.
Is this normal? Is there a critical no of children beyond which you cannot manage?

hi rosy, congratulations.
I think there is a critical number beyond which you cant manage, but you only really find out once the baby's there!
A friend with 6 children said that she got this panicky feeling every time she was pregnant, but she manages fine with 6.
I have got 4, similar ages to yours, and I know I have got to my limit. I am the sole breadwinner and there just isnt enough time to go round any more. They are definitely a bit neglected, as the only conversations we seem to have are about homework. It really is a personal thing though.

I have 5 and my baby number 5 is a joy. I enjoy my last baby, she is so peaceful and loving and brings a smile to my face everyday. Of course all my children do, but this baby is my last and she has brought such a peace and calmness to me. So, you will be fine. Also, remember, your older kids can help you. My oldest are also 9 and 8 and they help out alot.
