I discovered ds has been googling suggestive pictures today.

I found ds with a picture of Jodie Marsh in his room with a tarty outfit on and "Queen of Sex" written next to it. He is under 10.

He has no idea really what that means but the fact he has googled it has upset me, he reckons he saw a reference to it in one the football magazines he gets.

I don't want to look at the pages he accessed to be honest and dh is going to when he gets home. Our net protector was disenabled as it was stopping us opening anything but obviously will be going on asap.

What is the age when boys start being interested in "rude" pictures?

i reckon from around 6 or 7 - they have no idea of the adult connotations.

dont shout. just say firmly that he can't have pictures like that in his room until he is 15.

dont give him a sex complex.

i think mums are better at this than dads - who mumble along the lines of "beucase your mother said so!"

7? 8? 9? sounds completely normal to me.

Well it's good to know I reacted badly then .
You have reassured me thankyou. I was particularly cross as he tried to blame it on a mate.

We have discovered he is a boob man.

Usual age, IMO.
This is the sort of thing that is bound to occur when children have unlimited internet access and no supervision though.
Perfectly normal for him to be interested - but get that net nanny working again before he goes back on the computer though!
(It is easy to change the restrictions on it if you've had a problem before.)
