Babies and lambskin rugs

In my Mums on Babies book, several people have commented on using these rugs for babies to have a kick about with before bed time etc. My LO loves to kick about without her nappy and I think this would be ideal (she's only 1 week old and the nappy dwarfs her, plus I think fresh air is good for her bits!), but am I asking for trouble to let her on one without a nappy?!! I know they're machine washable, but seems that drying needs to be done with care....

Am sure loads of people have used them, but would like some feedback before I take the plunge and buy one....

TIA

I had one for DS, which he had as a playrug in the day, warm and lovely. I found it very easy to wash and just hung it over the radiator to dry. No problem.

Oh and yes, she is bound to wee on it.
