DS just bloody fired a BB gun!

10yr old DS has just fired a bloody BB gun, I have CCTV and I've just watched the whole episode!
DS doesn't play out anymore because the neighbours kid bullies him, he spat on him a few weeks ago and I was so raging mad I went and had a word with his mother who slammed the door in my face.
Anyway, I hate these bloody guns, eldest brought it up from his dads so I hid it.
I've just checked the CCTV and and it show a big gang across the road outside our house, DS goes outside, stays in the garden, I see the gun fire at the floor and DS comes in.
About 5 mins later (see kids playing in between) I see two kids (girls) walk down to my neighbours house, out comes runnin the mother and father.
2 mins later, neighbours son (bully) walks down crying his eyes out. Holding his forehead.
I don't get it?
If he's been shot by the plastic pellet and it's so bad, why did they wait 5 mins (5 mins is a long time) before going for any help?
DS is now grounded for the rest of the week and will be punished accordingly but something doesn't add up here!
Now expecting the police! Shock

Is the actual incident not on CCTV? What had your son said about it?

Did the bully's parents come and speak to you?

Oh sorry it is on CCTV but it doesn't show your son shooting the bully?

Kids sometimes sit in a huddle and work out whether they're going to get in too much trouble to make asking for help worthwhile iyswim.

I don't know if I've seen that last for 5 minutes though. Could the boy have lost consciousness?

Whether he hit someone or not, the potential was there. You sound like you think the neighbour's son is faking it. Even if he is, someone could have been hurt badly - it's not a nerd gun ffs.

If you feel that the bullying is doing this to your son you need to get him some help, pronto.

nerf not nerd

I know nothing about bb guns. He could have been crying about something unrelated.

I'm absolutely not condoning his behaviour, we don't eve have the bullet things in the house and he's been told in not uncertain terms not to take it out. I hid it for that very reason.
DS said bully said to him "that ain't real, fire it then" so he shot it at the floor, the group didnt disperse like id imagine if one had been hit?
Bullies mother didn't come to the door no. She's a horrible woman, calls my son and "Effin scumbag" when she sees him, horrible. Last week his bike was pinched although it was too dark to pick them up on CCTV but I know he was behind it.
Maybe I'm just making a mountain out of a mole hill?

What did he put in it if you don't have the bullets?

He got the bullets from a friend he said. Another little boy was here with him.
Police have just pulled up at the neighbours!

Do you know the boy said he's been shot?

Ok they've been.
No marks on the child.
Bb confiscated (thank god!)
DS reprimanded (he needed it!)

So they called the police when there wasn't even a mark and the CCTV showed him shoot the floor?

I think a problem with BB guns is they ricochet.

Why do they even sell those horrible things anyway. My little brother loves them (shoots cans in the garden)

But they're just asking for trouble selling working weapons to children

Yeah they just called the police. Offered to show them CCTV but they weren't really interested, told DS off, took the gun and left.
Can see this being a Lin standing fed with the neighbour. Wouldn't mind when we first moved in she was at the door moaning about how her son gets bullied and how she was glad he had found a friend in my DS, within days she had the police at hers accusing another woman of driving at her son!
Turns out he's the bully! She won't have it though. DS starts y6 this time and next year they'll be at high school together, hope it gets knocked in the head all this!
